Hey folks,
So, Jessee and I did go down to Memphis, TN for the Folk Alliance International Music Conference a couple of weeks ago. We had an awesome time in the Manitoba Music room, and played an awesome showcase in the Beaver Suite. We made some great friends and heard excellent music from all across Canada and the US.
Unfortunately, my time at the conference had to be cut short due to a unexpected appendectomy. Yup, I woke up on the Thursday with crazy stomach pains and by the evening I was rolling in agony all over the hotel bed. Jessee finally grabbed me out of bed, pushed me into a cab and rushed me to The MED. Early next morning I had my appendix removed and woke up in a hospital bed, having to eat terrible food and watched TV with a weird remote control that would only have one button. You flipped through the channels and the last channel would turn the TV off every rotation. But Jessee brought guests like Del Barber, Kerrie Woelke and Brent Warren to keep me company through the day. Finally , the wonderful nurses and doctors of the MED discharged me after showing them I could walk and fart.
The rest of the conference was spent in bed watching the Olympics and episodes of Big Love, which incidentally was what I was feeling from all of our friends and peers joining us in Memphis. The weekend ended and we drove home, back through the snow and wind.
It’s good to home and healed. We have some great shows this week in Dauphin and Winnipeg. Hope to see you there, I’ll show you all my scars.
Sncerely,
JD

Hey folks,
JD will be performing a couple of shows as the year fades away to 2009. JD will be at The Red Cactus on News Years Eve for a couple of sets and a couple of private parties as well. So I won’t be seeing many of you this holiday season, but please be good for Santa and to your self and of course to each and every one in your lives. Tis the season. JD and the Band will be back in the new year, so keep your ear to the ground for the music is a coming.
JD Edwards will be performing solo, opening for Hawksley Workman in Brandon. It’s Hawksley’s only gig in the prairies this time of the month so try to get there. It is all happening at the Roadhouse in Brandon. JD Edwards is also preparing to make a move to the west coast this spring, and hopefully a couple of surprises will be develop as the months go by.
Stay tuned folks

The fall has been good to The JD Edwards clan. A new record and some great gigs to boot. The WSO gig was incredible and a small gig at the LO Pub with new friend Rozalind Macphail was a big hit in the city. However, it is time to get back to the books and make some new music happen for the spring.
JD is has locked himself in his McMillan Ave. house and started on yet another record. The writing process can be difficult at times, but rest assured JD makes the best of every little idea. The plan for JD this next few months is to write twenty songs. A huge task is head of him, but he is positive to make the goals a reality.
Until next time stay tuned to your JD Edwards channels.

Well it is that times of year in Winnipeg, where the freeks and geeks come out of the woodwork and roam the streets of Winnipeg, smashing windows turing over mailboxes and toilet papering trees and the yards of the good towns folk.
Well, this year instead of torturing the city why not come down to the Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club for a night of pure fun and relaxation. The JD Edwards Band is popping their cherry by playing the famed bar and wants you to come. Kevin Bones and JD start the night off right, with tracks from the past and a couple from the future. Then JD brings his band up for a night of pure fun. Tracks from the latest JD Edwards record will be played and tryed out for all who attend. JD will also have CD’s on for sale and if you happened to be at the recording of the new “JD Edwards lIve at the Gas Station Theater” then you do deserve a free CD. Just find me and let me know folks. The free CD’s are burning a hole in my floor.
That’s all for now
Cheers,
JD
